Prado Museum

For being one of the world’s best museums, which celebrated its bicentennial in 2019, being one of Spain’s main cultural references and tourist attractions. Throughout its 200-year history, the Prado Museum’s initial collection of 311 works by Spanish artists has grown to include almost 8,000 paintings, 9,000 drawings, 1,000 sculptures and 3,500 pieces of decorative art. It has more works by Rubens, Bosch, Velázquez and Goya than any other museum in the world, and it represents one of Spain’s great contributions to universal culture.
