For being a mainstay of Spanish sport, an example of commitment, dedication and sacrifice in pursuit of a dream. On 17 May 2010, she became the first woman to climb the 14 ‘eight thousanders’ in just twenty expeditions, thus demonstrating an unprecedented level of effectiveness in the Himalayas.
