Carme Ruscalleda
She is the only woman in the world to hold five Michelin stars, three for her restaurant in Sant Pol de Mar (near Barcelona) and two for her restaurant in Tokyo. In Spain, she is the chef with the most Michelin stars and has also received the highest rating (three suns) from the Repsol Guide. A recipient of the National Gastronomy Award, her cuisine is rooted in Catalan tradition while consistently incorporating a touch of innovation.
