Since 1965, Alhambra Guitars has brought the timeless charm of Spanish heritage to guitarists, offering an endless source of inspiration. For more than 60 years, Alhambra Guitars has been dedicated to perfecting the art of guitar making.
Our family of 110 skilled craftsmen, each with a deeply rooted passion for creating string instruments, forms the heart and soul of our company. With generations of expertise passed down through tradition and a refined understanding of guitar construction, we take immense pride in preserving our heritage while embracing innovation.
The foundation of our exceptional instruments lies in the selection of the finest raw materials. We meticulously source premium woods such as cedar, spruce, rosewood, ebony, and cypress from their places of origin, ensuring the highest quality and sustainability for our guitars. Once the wood arrives at our facilities, it undergoes a natural drying process before being crafted and shaped into the parts that will form a guitar.
Our process includes the careful creation and assembly of each guitar component, followed by precise varnishing and polishing. We believe each instrument is unique and deserves individual attention, tuning, and sound checks to achieve its full potential.
The integration of new technologies into our operations has enhanced productivity, making us one of the global leaders in creating unique instruments. Each Alhambra guitar is registered within a comprehensive traceability system that ensures a chain of custody, providing the user with all the necessary information about their instrument, its construction, and certified origin, guaranteeing its authenticity.
The company offers five major product lines:
- Classical Guitars

Alhambra Guitars specialises in delivering the best product to each client. As such, all our lines include four ranges tailored to different skill levels: student models, conservatory models, concert models, and professional models. Additionally, Alhambra Guitars provides a wide range of customisation options, allowing each instrument to be adapted to the specific needs of every customer (cutaway versions, custom guitars, special sizes, preamplifiers, left-handed instruments, etc.).
Our commitment as a company to the society around us is exemplified by over 30 years of organising one of the world’s finest international guitar competitions. Held biennially, the CIGA (Alhambra Guitars International Competition) is a benchmark in the guitar world. We have also established the Alhambra Guitars Foundation, which promotes and fosters the renown of the Spanish guitar worldwide through activities for young people, institutions, schools, conservatories, universities, and more.
From our workshops in Muro de Alcoy (Alicante), Spanish guitars crafted with care are shipped to over 70 countries.
